Doubar: Leaving?
Firouz: We just got here!
Sinbad: And what a good time it’s been! But all good things must end.
Thief: Yes, they must. But not quite yet.
Sinbad: I’m sorry if you’ve come to trade sir…
Thief: …but I haven’t. I came to take. Everything. And I won’t bother paying.
Sinbad: I’m sorry, I don’t have time for this.
 

Doubar: You—your sails are slacking—it’s costing us speed!
Maeve: And look alive there—you’re sailing a ship, not simmering a steak!
 

Maeve: Besides Dim-Dim, what exactly are we looking for?
Sinbad: Whoever wrote us that note. Look for someone who might seem overly shy, who wants to approach us, but is… fearful.
Casendra: {whispering} Sinbad… Sinbad…
Maeve: There’s some young nymphette waving you over like you were her personal pet.
Casendra: Come…
Sinbad: I’ll handle this.
Maeve: Am I surprised?
 

Doubar: If Dim-Dim is here, then I’m a gazelle. What’s going on?
Sinbad: Trickery. Finding out by whom is the first thing on my to-do list. {villagers start rushing towards them, brandishing weapons} Maybe not the first thing.
 

Sinbad: You don’t fight like a farmer.
Villager: I’m not a farmer. I’m a warrior who farms. But I’ve been practicing all my life for someone like you. {charges and finds himself trapped against a post}
Sinbad: I think you need a little more practice.
 

Sinbad: Don’t take this so hard… we all make mistakes.
Maeve: You never seem to.
Sinbad: How wrong you are, Maeve. Do you think that I don’t regret losing Dim-Dim? That I don’t think about all the friends that I lost because of decisions that I had to make as captain? Sometimes things don’t turn out the way you want them to. That’s when you have trust in yourself, and your friends to get you through the problem.
 

Maeve: She seemed… appreciative.
Sinbad: I’ve had better kisses. And recently, I might add.
 

Sinbad: What’s wrong?
Maeve: I was just thinking how nice it felt… when we thought we found Dim-Dim.
Sinbad: We will get that feeling again Maeve. And that’s a promise.

POINTS TO PONDER

Is it just me, or is the description the little creature gave of Vorgon HUGELY different from the “creature” we’re shown at the end of the episode? For one thing, it claims it saw the creature “walking” amongst the ruins, yet when we finally see it, it’s a giant floating eyeball, lol. I think something was lost in translation during its design stage, since in my mind I was picturing some sort of hairy, walking big-foot thing. Though, to be sure, you can’t blame them for wanting to create a tentacle-eye-ball monster… after all, the description alone just screams Sinbad. ;)

Also, I’m amused at the way Sinbad reacts whenever he gets kissed. Even if it’s by someone he despises or barely knows (Rumina and Casendra) he gets this innocent, dazed look on his face that makes it seem like it’s his first time ever kissing a girl (unless, of course, it's part of some sort of plan). Yet with Maeve, it happens so naturally that it comes across as anything but innocent—he definitely knows what he's doing, lol. Afterward, he looks shocked and embarrassed that he let his emotions run away from him (and in front of his crew, no less!) but that’s it. No regret, no apologies. And of course, we all get the double entendre from that last line…
